THEOLOGY AND MINISTRY
What is 'Theology and Ministry'?
The church-recognized study program ‘Theology and Ministry’ gives the opportunity to receive theological education necessary for serving as an evangelist, lector, deaconate worker, Sunday school teacher as well as fulfilling other callings to serve in a congregation. Around halfof the curriculum is composes of study courses in Biblical Theology, Systematic Theology, Church History, and general subjects, while the other half consists of study courses in Practical Theology corresponding to the chosen focus of the student.
The study program helps expand horizons of theological learning at an adjustable pace and intensity of study - the study process is elastic and tailored to the availability of the students, allowing them to choose courses of interest to them to be studied on site or online for approximately 2-3 evenings a week. This study program is an excellent opportunity for each person to understand and grasp more fully God’s call towards a specific kind of ministry, including being the perfect stepping stone to continuing studies in the BTh in Theology or Church Music.
This study program is available in Latvian and English (online) as of the Academic Year 2021/2022.
Applications to the study program can be made through the common ONLINE APPLICATION form.
